Tribe G.K. was founded by Michael Merigold, a grizzled veteran of the Tokyo recruitment market, with over 20 years of experience in agency recruitment. Throughout his career, he has primarily focused on Front-Office Financial and Professional Services, however, has successfully completed searches in a wide range of areas such as for a Japanese tofu manufacturer in the U.K. and a German reusable packaging container company in mainland China.
He founded TRIBE after years of hands-on recruitment experience at several different types of firms, where he was able to learn from some of the top recruiters and visionaries in the Tokyo market. He learned many lessons (mostly good) along the way from his mentors, colleagues and clients, but eventually, it became clear that the time had come to try and further raise the level of service, professionalism and successful delivery that his clients, candidates and partners all deserve.
